There's no charge for using the basic services at Commutineer. We don't charge you for registering as a user. And we don’t charge you for starting conversations, replying to conversations or forming tribes, even if you do it with text messages. You’ll probably still have to pay your mobile provider for the text though (and standard mobile rates apply).
The only fees relate to a few opt-in services that may interest some users. These are described below. If you want to opt into one or more of these services you’ll first need to buy text credits using Paypal. We offer them in the following bundles:

This is ideal for starting a conversation when you're on the move because we’ll text you the first reply so you can reply from your mobile using the conversation code. We won’t text you if the first reply is older than a day and we’ll only deduct a text credit from your account when we do text you.
You can receive a single text message every day containing the most recent conversation about the topic or place. We won't send you a text if the most recent conversation is older than a day and we only deduct a text credit from your account for each text message we actually send. You can stop receiving these text messages at any time.
Be part of a conversation by receiving text messages containing each reply. We’ll deduct a text credit from your account for each text message we actually send. You can stop receiving these text messages at any time.
This is great for setting up a night out with your tribe. Just start a conversation from the Web site and have it texted to the tribe members you choose. We’ll deduct a text credit from your account for each text sent to each tribe member.
Keep your tribe updated while you’re on the move. Start a conversation from your mobile or reply to one from your mobile and have the text message forwarded to the mobiles of all members of that tribe. We’ll deduct a text credit from your account for each text sent to each tribe member.
Text messages longer than 140 characters won’t be displayed. If you send a long message to Commutineer and your account has text credits we'll text you a reminder to use shorter messages and we’ll deduct a text credit from your account.
